I think those rumors were wrong. Because I was in beta around august 04 and i been everywhere and I know that door was able to open up. But it would just lead to the other side. I read the same thing on beta boards.

Devs/Walrus said those rooms were for testing abilites and other stuff. You never know.

SOE doesn't give a rats ass about this game anymore.
