Go to a riftway. Buy a flying mount. Fly with the mount and watch the timer if you are running out of the 5mins timer soon. like 45 sec look for a mob. Keep your eye on the timer. If you are around 10sec before it runs out try to aggro a mob and kite the mob dont loose aggro before your timer gets to 0. Or fly near a mob and just aggro it when the timer is below 3sec.
Tried this twice it worked. You can now fly with unlimited time on your mount. But watch for ctd or any autodismounting area will loose your flying mount and you cannot resummon it
